Summer 2015 is officially upon us! School’s out, temperatures are up, and Williston is BOOMING with fun summer activities!
Visit one of our 10 newly equipped parks, including the Community Builder’s Playground at Davidson Park, and the Play 4 All fully accessible park at the Western Star Complex.
Williston’s parks have structures for children of all ages. Younger children and toddlers will be safe and comfortable in the enclosed marry-go-round and swings at Westlawn Park; while your older, more adventurous kids will love the Zip Line and Keel Boat Maze at Spring Lake Park!
On those summer days that are just too hot to play outside, head to the ARC for indoor swimming and fun on the wave rider. You can also play soccer and baseball, without worrying about sunburn!
Of course, summer fun is not exclusive to the kids! Williston has 3 unique golf courses, for when you need a break from the work day. Not a golfer? Grab a cold coffee drink or smoothie at Daily Addiction and take a stroll downtown for some retail therapy.
The best summer activities are the ones the whole family can get involved in. The Keybird Baseball season kicks off on June 7th; take in a game and enjoy a burger and ice cream from the best concession stand in the Midwest!
Or, give your kids a summer school lesson they won’t forget; only a short 20 minute drive sits between you and a riveting reenactment at historic Fort Union or Fort Buford.
Williston comes alive in the summer, so go to visitWilliston.com to learn more and keep checking the Boomtown Blog for info on all of the exciting events to come – Concerts & Festivals & Fairs, Oh My!
In the meantime, head outside and kick this summer off with a Boom!
