Volunteers Sought for New 5k Obstacle and Terrain Run
Williston, N.D. – On September 19, Williston will be hosting the Bakken X Trek in Spring Lake Park in Williston. This race features 25 obstacles through natural park features including mud, water, swamp and hills as well as some built obstacles including ropes, webs and tires. Runners will enjoy a free beer courtesy of Outlaws and a slice of pizza, along a registration gift and a prize for finishers. Race waves are set at 75 people to reduce long lines and wait times at obstacles. Those who love to run as a family can take advantage of a ‘family wave’ first thing in the morning.
To ensure a successful and fun event, the Bakken X Trek is seeking 40 adult volunteers before and during the race for 5-6 hours on Saturday. Volunteers can be individuals who love to help out, or employees acting on behalf of their company to help us offer an event our whole community can enjoy. Some examples of what volunteers may be asked to do (or can request) include manning obstacles, directing runners, helping with registration and other tasks. Volunteers can also qualify for a discount on the Bakken X Trek, if they would like to run the course!
If you would like to volunteer, please get in touch; we would love to meet you. Volunteering for your company? Let us know!
