Blacktail Dam Campground

The park at Blacktail Dam is located about 25 miles north of Williston and offers camping, picnic areas, boating, and several playgrounds. There is also a 9 hole golf course located on the north side of the park.

 

Boating

All motorized and non-motorized watercraft are allowed.

Golf

The Blacktail Dam Golf Gourse is a 9 hole, par 3 course located on the north side of the park. A $5 donations is suggested. Please bring your own clubs, balls, and tees. A bathroom and a picnic shelter are located by the 1st tee. Download the course map here.

Camping

Primitive or Tent Campsites:
RVs are allowed to camp in primitive sites and use a generator. Up to 1 RV/1 Vehicle/1 Tent or 1 Vehicle/2 Tents can occupy a site.

Individual Electric/ Water Campsites: 
Site 13 is available as a full hookup campsite with potable water, sewer, and electrical hookups (20/30/50 amp). Up to 1 RV/1 Vehicle/1 Tent or 1 Vehicle/2 Tents can occupy a site.

Group Camping
Blacktail Dam now offers three Group Campsites that each have three full electric (20/30/50 amp)/water/sewer hook-ups. One Group Campsite can be occupied by up to 3 RVs/3 Vehicles/2 Tents or 4 Tents/3 Vehicles

Overflow Camping
There are 9 campsites designated for Overflow Camping; these campsites are only available during special events.

Campfires
Campfires may only be built in the provided fire rings, which may not be moved from their current location. All fires must be supervised by a person of at least 18 years of age and must be maintained in a safe manner in accordance of the ND Rangeland Fire Danger Index.
