2026 Band Day Parade Lineup

Parade Line Up is at 9am!!!

Celebrating tradition, music, school spirit, and community pride, the committee remains committed to preserving the heart of Band Day: showcasing Marching Bands and creating a fun, welcoming experience for all ages.
To ensure Band Day remains a family-friendly, respectful, and community centered celebration, all entries must follow these rules:
  1.  All parade entries must be decorated reflecting the spirit of community pride, business pride, positive celebrations, family-friendly entertainment, and respect for participants and spectators.  A commercial branded vehicle should be decorated.
This year’s theme is Let Freedom Ring – Marching Through the Decades
  1. Band Day is intended to be a welcoming, family-friendly community event.  All entries are expected to remain civil, respectful and courteous toward parade staff, volunteers, spectators, and fellow participants.   Entries may not include or display:
    1. Obscene, vulgar or profane language
    2. Graphic or violent imagery
    3. Harassing, threatening or discriminatory content
    4. Inflammatory, hostile or intentionally disruptive messaging or behavior.
  2. Community organizations, civic groups, public officials, businesses and other entities are welcome to participate.  However, the parade is not intended to serve as a political rally, protest, or issue-based demonstration.  Any entry that is determined by the Williston CVB to be campaign driven, confrontational, disruptive or inconsistent with the family-friendly purpose of the event will be denied.
  3. Excessively amplified sound, including air horns, is not permitted.  Any float with live music must be noted on their registration and pre-approved by Williston CVB.  This ensures that we can space the parade appropriately to feature the musical entries.
  4. Float entry, Vehicle Limit – Maximum of Three (3) vehicles, no larger than a pickup truck per float entry. See registration for pricing of multiple vehicles
  5. Oversized Entries – If the entry is unable to navigate a parking lot line up area – it will be considered an oversized entry – Anything of this size needs to be noted on the registration form as there is limited space for these entries.  Enclosed Cargo semi-tractor combinations are not allowed.
  6. All Entries must be able to navigate the route and line up area without special accommodation.
  7. Candy and other items must be handed out by walkers along the edge of the parade route to ensure the safety of spectators and participants.  Throwing candy from a vehicle or float is prohibited.
  8. Live Animal Entries.  All entries with live animals must have a designated pooper scooper to clean up after the animals during the entire route and line up areas.
We do not inspect for safety, nor do we guarantee the conditions of the parade route to be suitable for all types of floats. All registrations are subject to approval by the Band Day Committee, which has final approval of entry registrations and reserves the right to deny participation to any entry that does not meet the requirements outlined in the registration form.
