Confluence Campground

The Confluence Campground is located approximately 20 miles west of Williston and is just down the road from the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center. It is also close to the Fort Buford State Historic Site and the Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site. The Confluence Campground is a popular location during paddlefish snagging season, which is in May each year.


The campground is managed by the Williams County Water Resource District Board.

Camping

Campsites at the Confluence Campground are first come, first served, and cannot be reserved in advance. Stays are limited to 14 days, per North Dakota Game & Fish rules. Camping fees are payable by cash or check only at the pay post located onsite.

Electric Campsites: $15/night
There are 8 campsites with electrical hookups (20/30/50 amp).

Primitive Camping: $10/night
There are no dedicated primitive sites, but primitive camping is permitted where space allows. Please follow onsite signage for guidance, especially during Paddlefish season.
